UPMurphi Released: PDDL+ Planning for Hybrid Systems
نویسندگان
چکیده
In this tool paper, we present the release of UPMurphi, a universal planner for PDDL+ domains. Planning for hybrid domains has found increasing attention in the planning community, motivated by the need to address more realistic scenarios. While a number of techniques for planning with a subset of PDDL+ domains have been proposed, UPMurphi is able to handle the full range of PDDL+ features, including nonlinear continuous processes, exogenous events, Timed Initial Literals and numeric Timed Initial Fluents. This paper describes the UPMurphi framework and presents its main features, together with a guide for using the tool, and some examples where UPMurphi has been successfully applied.

UPMurphi: A Tool for Universal Planning on PDDL+ Problems
Systems subject to (continuous) physical effects and controlled by (discrete) digital equipments, are today very common. Thus, many realistic domains where planning is required are represented by hybrid systems, i.e., systems containing both discrete and continuous values, with possibly a nonlinear continuous dynamics. The PDDL+ language allows one to model these domains, however the current to...
متن کاملA PDDL+ Benchmark Problem: The Batch Chemical Plant
The PDDL+ language has been mainly devised to allow modelling of real-world systems, with continuous, timedependant dynamics. Several interesting case studies with these characteristics have been also proposed, to test the language expressiveness and the capabilities of the support tools. However, most of these case studies have not been completely developed so far. In this paper we focus on th...
متن کاملA Compilation of the Full PDDL+ Language into SMT
Planning in hybrid systems is important for dealing with realworld applications. PDDL+ supports this representation of domains with mixed discrete and continuous dynamics, and supports events and processes modeling exogenous change. Motivated by numerous SAT-based planning approaches, we propose an approach to PDDL+ planning through SMT, describing an SMT encoding that captures all the features...
متن کاملModelling Mixed Discrete-Continuous Domains for Planning
In this paper we present pddl+, a planning domain description language for modelling mixed discrete-continuous planning domains. We describe the syntax and modelling style of pddl+, showing that the language makes convenient the modelling of complex timedependent effects. We provide a formal semantics for pddl+ by mapping planning instances into constructs of hybrid automata. Using the syntax o...
متن کاملPlanning with Numeric Timed Initial Fluents
Numeric Timed Initial Fluents represent a new feature in PDDL that extends the concept of Timed Initial Literals to numeric fluents. They are particularly useful to model independent functions that change through time and influence the actions to be applied. Although they are very useful to model real world problems, they are not systematically defined in the family of PDDL languages and they a...
